We are a non-profit organization that depends on donations of things related to Sudbury's History to build our collection and displays. The Society collects historical artifacts, cultural artifacts, photographs, works of art and manuscript material that support the Society's mission to interpret the history of Sudbury. This includes materials made or used in Sudbury or by Sudbury people. Priority is given to artifacts that support current collecting priorities and the exhibition, research, and educational goals of the Society.
Most of our artifacts were donated by past Sudbury residents and as such accurately reflect domestic life in Sudbury.
If you have material to donate, please contact us at email, phone (978-443-3747), or stop by during our normal business hours.
We will promptly evaluate your material to determine if it fits our mission and if we can adequately care for it. Note that we do not provide appraisals of value. You can bring your material to us or if you are local we can visit you.
For more information on our collecting policy, please see our about page.
